You might be a Bowhunting Nut if...
You know that Deer and Elk can laugh.
If you read the "Beginning", then you know most of it already, but here's the rest.
When I first bought my set-up, I had no one to teach me what I needed to get started. It was just,
how much do you want to spend and here's a good set-up. They didn't even tell me anything
about needing an arm guard, or the right kind of stabilizer to use; man did I come away with some
bruises!
I was lucky enough to find out that a friend, Dan Keiser from work, was an avid archer. The man
was a finger shooter that could shoot a 5 arrow grouping no larger than 1 and a quarter inch. I
was then lucky enough to meet Kathleen Hawks, another finger shooter and at the time a 7 time
South Dakota Outdoor Champion. By the time they were done, I was shooting 5 arrow 1 1/2"
groups at 20 yards with fingers. I owe them a lot, without them I would have hung it up, so if they
ever read this - Thank You!!
Now - I have been an NBEF (National Bowhunter Education Foundation) Instructor since 2005,
as-well-as a NASP (National Archery in School Program) B.A.I.T. Instructor for both the Iowa DNR
and South Dakota DNR; although currently inactive for Iowa This is all done on a volunteer basis
and getting to meet new Archers and Hunters is the priceless part for me; I have made many great
friends over the years.
I am dedicated to helping you be the best that you can be, whether it be Hunting, Spots or 3D's. I
can offer you professional tuning for your bow and for your form. I excel at helping people shoot
better than they thought they could, fingers or release.
So if you want help becoming the best that you can be, let me know! My rates are very
reasonable because I believe everyone should be able to afford the help they need. Check the
F.A.Q. section, here you'll find additional information One last thing - if you take one of my SD
NBEF classes, I'll help you for free.

Mark O. - "Keith did an amazing job at teaching me everything I know about Archery. I started out a few years
ago from nothing and Keith showed me the way. He has helped me with everything from good
shooting form, to good advise about hunting. He has increased my accuracy along with my love
for the sport. He has helped me set up two bows and got me shooting straight. He has also
helped with tree stand shooting, and sighting in broadheads. I took his class and highly
recommend it to anyone interested in Archery. Thanks Keith for all your time, and God Bless."
Kathi S. - "Because of his chronic illness, Trent can be somewhat limited with activities. Since Trent started
with archery lessons, he has gained more self-confidence and strength. Trent has become more
outgoing both at home and at school. Trent looks forward to going out to Rock Valley each week
for lessons. He has learned many new things and has progressed by leaps and bounds since his
first lesson. Keith's style of teaching is never to tell the student he's done something wrong, but
instead he promotes positive reinforcement by asking the student what he (the student), thinks
was not done quite right or was forgotten. Trent is excited to learn more and is looking forward to
the day he actually get to go hunting."
Jenn K. - " I want to thank you so much for the first lesson in helping me with Archery!!! I am extremely excited
to continue working with you to go from beginner to Instructor!!! Thank you for being patient with
me. I am not an easy person to work with sometimes."
